So I am, indeed, a Twilight nerd. I love the books, liked the movie and adore Jackson Rathbone and Ashley Greene as Jasper and Alice. How perfect were they? And Jackson? Adorable, I love him.

And I love this photo because Kristen Stewart looks creepy. I don't like her and I definitely don't like her as Bella. She's horrid.

And I'm done with my silly rant. Happy Thursday all!

Whimsy Press is having a 60% off sale! Just enter the code 2009 on the last step of your checkout! Shipping is a little expensive ($7) but I picked up some dachshund wrapping paper and the It's Good to be Green tote bag that I couldn't justify spending $28 on before. My total was $20.17 after the discount and shipping.

Baby Tripp is now 3 lbs and 14 ounces! He's growing so fast!

He was so, so excited to see Dr. Mark, but as soon as he gave him his shot Tripp was shooting him this look like "I thought we were friends? That hurt!". I felt awful for him because he yelped so loud and I was kind of embarassed because it echoed through the vet office, but he was especially rambunctious at home yesterday, so I think that makes up for his pain and torture :)

I am so upset that Domino has folded. I had only recently discovered the magazine and it was one of my favorites...to top it all off? I just subscribed to a two years subscription and only received one of them. I gave away 23 issues! And what's worse is the website will be gone in a couple of weeks too. I have a long day of saving images ahead of me.

On a happier note! The puppy is coming home on Sunday! I am soooo so excited! I'll be sure to post a ton of pictures once he's home! <3

Word of the Week:

Nefarious [nuh-FAIR-ee-uhs], adjective. Wicked in the extreme.

Despite involvement in protection, narcotics, strong-arm debt collecting, strikebreaking, and blackmail, among other nefarious activities, all of them professed to be a cut above mobsters in other lands.
-Robert Whiting, Tokyo Underworld

And my updated list is under the cut. )

Thanks to inspiration per members of the [info]mission101_2009 community, I have adopted 2 new goals. They will not replace any of my current goals, they are just things I want to do and it feels good to mark things off of a list of "To Do's".

The first one is to donate 5,000 grains of rice per week via FreeRice.com.

The second is to learn a new word every week and use it in my daily vocabulary so that it actually sticks with me. I will post a new word on each Sunday in my personal journal, along with [info]mission101_2009 on my weekly updates. Please feel free to add me if you are working towards a similar goal or just for the sake of learning. This week we won't have as long to learn the word, but it's an easy one:

Tryst [trist], noun. A meeting of lovers (usually secret).

And if anyone following wouldn't mind posting a sentence (or paragraph if you're feeling generous), using the word to give others examples of the usage.

And on on a side note, I am happy to report that #48 is still running smoothly, Listerfiend is still alive and well.

FreeRice.com update: I donated 10,300 today...perhaps I should increase my weekly requirement.

So I am sitting bored at work and I was frustrated because I couldn't find old entries that I was looking for, and realized that I have them spread out across nearly 10 different journals. So my mission today is to consolidate to this one.

The Duchess is fantastic! Keira Knightly is marvelous.

I am officially 20...but I don't feel any different!
I began number 48 of my 101 list today:

48. Keep a beta fish alive for at least 6 months.

Introducing Listerfiend, the mouth troll beta fish.

And I have some new Blu-Ray movies to watch: Prince Caspian, Shoot 'Em Up and Eagle Eye.

Happy Sunday!

Flowers may not seem like a big deal, but they would be if you knew my boyfriend.
To him, flowers are a waste of money, they die, and what kind of gesture is that?
We often quote the Demetri Martin joke (if you don't know it, go take a listen).
He's in Louisiana for work and we don't know when he'll be home.
I love him with everything I have.
